Day 6 - More High Lonely

1200 miles

This was not a high mileage day. Because of Wendy not feeling well we took a slow start and didn't hit the road until 10:00 am. The road rolled slowly with more hills than we expected and then the tire on the trailer blew. I got too far ahead to be able to connect and the radios weren't working so we were out of touch for about half an hour. It scared us all. Simon saw these rocks
Teddy makes morning coffee Thank you ever so much Ed Randall for suggesting that we carry a spare for the trailer. We were able to change it and a tiny service station at the next stop not only had a replacement for the blown tire but was able to fix it right away. With a new valve stem on the other original tire and some straightening on the wheel we are back on the road with a new spare.
We lost some time, needless to say, and wound up stopping in Cheyenne. We had our first truck stop dinner tonight. Everyone was starved because we didn't have any lunch. Perhaps we overate a little but we enjoyed it. Also, let me mention that most of the pictures for the past three days have been taken by Simon. I feel badly that I only have time and space to put a few into each day's page because there are hundreds. There is so much space here. This is a different reality from anywhere that we have lived before. Note the resemblence to human body parts
