Day 9 - End of the Midwest

2560 miles(approx)

A big man made hole in Indiana Well today I was sick. I drank bunches of water so we had to stop at every rest area so our progress was very slow. We started at 8:00am and arrived in the Cleveland area around 8:00pm. Long day but I grabbed bunches of Wellness Formula and washed them down with more water. AAA told us there was no construction on the route but they didn't check with the states of Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and particularly Ohio.
I noted today that a major difference between the east and the west is the size of natural things. In Oregon the mountains and the trees are really big. There is no such thing as a light pole that is as high as the trees. In the east the opposite is true. Most of the trees are not that big but most of them are the hardwoods that make the fall colors that are so special. It is good to come back to a familiar place and I have no regret at taking the trip because we can return knowing more about who we are and what we want. In the east lightpoles are taller than the trees
Teddy and Simon ponder over dinner at Bob Evans Getting in we tried eating at a restaurant called Bob Evans. We were more than pleasantly surprised because the food was more like the stuff that we would make for ourselves than any of the places we have been eating. The menu included a real range of options for different tastes and moods. Our server took enough interest to ask to have our web address.
